Writ Petition No.10893 of 2016 filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for issuance of Writ of mandamus directing the Respondent to grant lease for quarrying operations in 2.74.0 hectares in S.Nos.100/2A2 100/2B2 100/2C2 100/D2 100/3A 100/3B 100/3C 100/3D 101/3 at Sudasandiram Village in Denkanikottai Taluk Krishnagiri District as per their Application Dated 01.03.2006.

C O M M O N O R D E R The petitioner has filed the above writ petitions to issue writs of mandamus directing the respondent to grant lease for quarrying operations at Averipally Village and at Sundasandiram Village, in Denkanikottai Taluk in Krishnagiri District, as per their applications dated 11.06.2007 and 01.03.2006 respectively.
2. In W.P.No.9498 of 2011 by order dated 27.04.2011 and in W.P.No.9499 of 2011 dated 25.04.2011, this Court, directed the 1st respondent herein to dispose of the applications of the petitioner dated 11.06.2007 and 01.03.2006 respectively within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the said orders. However, the 1st respondent has not passed any order in those applications till today.
3. When the matters are taken up for hearing, Mr.T.N.Rajagopalan, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that in view of Model Code of Conduct, the respondents are not in a position to pass orders immediately and therefore requested this Court to grant twelve weeks' time for passing orders in the applications dated 11.06.2007 and 01.03.2006.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner also submitted that twelve weeks' time may be fixed for passing orders in the said applications of the petitioner dated 11.06.2007 and 01.03.2006.
5. In these circumstances, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the applications of the petitioner dated 11.06.2007 and 01.03.2006 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
