ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for direction to respondents 1 to 4 to provide police protection to the petitioner at the hands of the fifth respondent to safeguard his life and liberty. 2.
The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the petitioner lodged complaint as against counter parties for the occurrence taken place during the year 2023. Accused persons had come to Sasthiri 1st Cross Street, Kaveri Nagar, Saidapet near his shop and created noise pollution. They also threatened the general public by celebraring birthday by using big knife and cut a cake. However, the said complaint was not considered and as 2/4
such, the petitioner was constrained to file a private complaint and sought for direction under Section 156(3) of Cr.P.C. before the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet in Crl.MP.No.21222 of 2023. The learned Magistrate by an order dated 26.12.2023, directed the fifth respondent to investigate the complaint. Accordingly, now the fifth respondent registered FIR in crime No.22 of 2024 for the offence under Sections 294(b), 323, 506(ii) of IPC as against three accused persons and it is pending for investiation.

Recording the above submission, this writ petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
