O R D E R

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 27.07.2021 made by the petitioner to grant patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the subject property and pass orders on the same.

2. Mr. T. Chezhiyan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice to the respondents 1 & 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that she is in possession and enjoyment of the property comprised in Survey No.247 to an extent of 623 Sq.Ft situated at Seethamman Koil Street, Mettukuppam, from past 40 years. He had also obtained electricity service connection in the name of the petitioner in the subject property. While being so, the petitioner had made a representation dated 27.07.2021 requesting grant of patta in favour of her in respect of the subject property, before the 2nd respondent herein. However, till date, the same has not been considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the aforesaid relief.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 27.07.2021 made by the petitioner for grant of patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the subject property and dispose of the same on merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection to the said order being passed.

6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 27.07.2021 made by the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No costs.
