This Writ Petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation seeking to pay the pension for the month of May 2021 and to pay Rs.50,000/- towards funeral expenses from the family security fund.

2. The petitioner's aunt Mrs.Chambakam was working as a teacher in the ARC Aided Primary School, Chennai and she was superannuated on 31.12.1997. She was receiving pension as per pension payment order No.T74172. She had appointed her husband Mr.Ramasamy as her nominee and Mr.Ramasamy died on 30.09.2016. They had no issues. The petitioner being the relative she had been taking care of them. While being so, on 28.05.2021 the said Mrs.Chambakam died due to covid-19. However, she was not paid pension for the month of May 2021. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representation to the respondents and the same was pending.

3. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the respondents 2/4

are directed to consider the claim of the petitioner for pension for month of May 2021 for Mrs.Chambakam under pension payment order No.T74172 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
