O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed challenging the decline to suspend the sentence of the petitioner imposed by the Juvenile Justice Board.

2. The learned Juvenile Justice Board considered the status report of the social welfare department, Probation officer report, neighbor report and taking into consideration of the family circumstances of the petitioner, an order was passed directing the petitioner to undergo the vocational training and psychological treatment in the Government recognised home. As the order has been passed based on the fact that the petitioner had addicted to cannabis and also indulged in commission of the robbery for want of money for his expense purpose. Such view of the matter, the order passed by the Trial Court does not require any interference by this Court.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks this Court that there may be a direction to the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Chennai to expedite the trial of appeal in Crl.A.No.1 of 2021 filed against the order passed by the Juvenile Justice Board in J.C.No.225/2021 dated 24.08.2021.

4. Such view of the matter, this Court directs the Trial Court to dispose of the appeal expeditiously. With the above observation, this criminal original petition stands disposed of. No costs.
