This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.03.2017 and investigate into the matter in accordance with law.

2.It is stated by the petitioner that she is the first wife of one Arumugam and they have no issues. While so, her husband entered into second marriage with one Gomathi and both of them have ill-treated the petitioner and evicted the petitioner from the matrimonial home. Immediately the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 29.09.2016. Since no action has been taken on the said complaint, the present Criminal Original Petition is filed.

3.Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondents.

4.Without expressing any opinion as to the merits of the contentions raised by the petitioner in this Criminal Original Petition, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.03.2017 and pass order on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to both parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
