[ RESPONDENTS ] Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus calling to issue a Writ OF Habeas Corpus calling for the records in Memo No.808/BCDFGISSSV/2015 dated 27.8.2015 passed by the 2nd respondent and to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to produce the detenue Rama @ Ramakrishnan s/o.Ramanujam aged 32 years who is now confined at Central Prision, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.] The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu, Rama @ Ramakrishnan, son of Ramanujam, aged about 32 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 27.8.2015 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982]. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 27.8.2015 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. Rt No.6513, dated 16.10.2015 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
