Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Declaration, declaring that the Petitioners who are working as Guest Lecturers for more than 5 to 15 years and who have acquired M.Phil Degree Prior to July 11, 2009 are exempted from the requirement of NET/ SLET/SET/PH.D for recruitment and appointment as Assistant Professors or any equivalent position in any Universities colleges and Institutions as per G.O (Ms) No.5, Higher Education (H1) Department dated 11.01.2021 and the University Grants Commission notifications dated 04.05.2016 and 18.07.2018 and consequently direct the 1st and 2nd Respondents to appoint the Petitioners as Assistant Professor or any equivalent position in any Universities, Colleges or Institutions.

It is fairly submitted by M/s.C.Uma, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners that the claim similar to the one made in this Writ Petition has already been considered by a learned Division Bench of this Court by an order dated 09.02.2024 passed in W.A.No.612 of 2020, wherein the said claim was negatived.
2. In the light of the said decision of the learned Division Bench of this Court, no relief can be granted in favour of the petitioners in this Writ Petition. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed as squarely covered by an order dated 09.02.2024 passed in W.A.No.612 of 2020. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petitions, if any shall stand closed.
