Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to give effect to the terms in G.O.Ms.No.341 dated 13.12.92.

When the matter was taken up for hearing on 16.10.2020 and 27.11.2020, there was no representation for the petitioners. After hearing the Special Government Pleader, the matter was directed to be listed on 08.12.2020 under the caption ''for final disposal''. Even today, there is no representation for the petitioners.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent submitted that the petitioners already got alternative employment in the local authorities and public sector undertakings and hence, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.

3. In view of the subsequent developments and the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
