The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the offences registered under Sections 420 and 409 IPC and 76(1) and 4(1) of the Chit Funds Act, 1982, in Crime No.7 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.This application had come up along with the application seeking bail filed by A3, A5 to A8. When the applications came up for hearing on 06.02.2024, this Court had granted interim bail to A3, A5, A6, A7 and A8 with conditions and had directed them to surrender before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, on 14.03.2024. While granting bail to those accused, this Court had also granted interim protection to A9/the petitioner herein till 14.03.2024.
3.Thereafter, it was informed that though the said accused had surrendered before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai on 14.03.2024, they were not remanded to custody. Therefore, a direction was given that they must be surrender or must be taken into custody by the respondent. So far as the protection granted to A9/petitioner herein is C.V.KARTHIKEYAN, J.

vkr concerned, such protection from coercive action was interfered with and set side. The respondent thereafter had taken this petitioner into custody. 4.The petitioner had filed a regular application seeking bail and it is now pending before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore. 5.In view of that particular fact, this petition has become infructuous and the same is dismissed.
