Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second and fourth respondent to consider the petition dated 28.09.2015 for grant of patta with respect to Acre 24.47 Cents in Ogaiperaiyur District Village, Needamangalam Taluk Thiruvarur District in Survey No's 102/1,2,3, 103/1, 105/1A2, 1A4, 1C,3,4,5A, 5B, 6A1, 8, 239/1&2, 240/2A1, 2A2, 2D1, 2D11, 2D7, 2D8 in the name of the petitioner.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus, directing the second and fourth respondent to consider the petition dated 28.09.2015 for grant of patta with respect to Acre 24.47 Cents in Ogaiperaiyur District Village,

Needamangalam Taluk Thiruvarur District in Survey No's 102/1,2,3, 103/1, 105/1A2, 1A4, 1C,3,4,5A, 5B, 6A1, 8, 239/1&2, 240/2A1, 2A2, 2D1, 2D11, 2D7, 2D8 in the name of the petitioner.

2.Heard both sides.

3.Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader made a statement that the enquiry is scheduled to take place on 05.03.2021 at 11.00 a.m. at the office of the fourth respondent and upon conclusion of the enquiry, the files would be forwarded to the second respondent/DRO and the DRO would dispose of the matter within a period of 12 weeks upon he receiving the report.

4.The said statement of the learned Special Government Pleader is recorded.

5.Since the General Elections to the State Legislative Assembly has already been notified and given the possibility that Election related responsibilities may be assigned to all the revenue officials of the State, it is only appropriate that the fourth respondent enquire the matter on 05.03.2021, if it is possible for him to do so, and if any General Elections responsibilities interfered, he is directed to hold an enquiry within two weeks after the conlusion of the Election process on 02.05.2021 and conclude the same within a period of four weeks thereafter and forward the report to the second respondent. The second respondent would dispose of the matter within a period of 12 weeks thereafter. 6.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
