[Respondents] Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 26.12.2016 and 09.01.2017 and accord permission to conduct Orchestra on 16.01.2017 at Sothukkinni Mariamman Kovil, Polur Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District, within a time to be stipulated by this Court and afford adequate protection on the eve of the festival.

To conduct orchestra programme, the petitioner approached the respondents to provide adequate police protection by way of making representations dated 26.12.2016 and 09.01.2017. Since the orchestra programme is scheduled to be conducted on 16.01.2017, the petitioner has come up with the Criminal Original Petition, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representations and to provide necessary police protection for the programme.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner specifically submitted that other than orchestra programme, there is no stage performance to be conducted. The said statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is recorded. 3.Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondents.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is directed to file an affidavit before the respondent police today itself (12.01.2017). On such filing of affidavit, the respondents shall consider the same and grant necessary police protection with appropriate conditions. 5.With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
