Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the second respondent in O.Mu.No.3158/A5/2006 dated 30.11.2006 pertaining to the approval for appointment of 5th respondent as Post Graduate Assistant (Tamil) in 4th respondent school and quash the said appointment and approval as illegal and direct the respondents 1 to 3 to promote the petitioner to the post of Post Graduate Assistant (Tamil) with effect from the date of appointment of 5th respondent with all attendant benefits.

This Writ Petition has been filed calling for the records of the second respondent in O.Mu.No.3158/A5/2006 dated 30.11.2006 pertaining to the approval for the appointment of 5th respondent as Post Graduate Assistant (Tamil) in 4th respondent school and quash the said appointment and approval as illegal and direct the respondents 1 to 3 to promote the petitioner to the post of Post Graduate Assistant (Tamil) with effect from the date of appointment of 5th respondent with all attendant benefits.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the relief sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous and therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition to be adjudicated upon further.
3. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Pleader, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
