ORDER

This Court, while disposing of the writ petition in W.P.No.36950 of 2015, by order dated 08.02.2016, directed the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.08.2015 and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks.

2.The present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging non-compliance of the said order dated 08.02.2016 passed by this Court.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that on the representation of the petitioner, the respondent has passed an order on 05.07.2018 rejecting the claim of the petitioner. He has also produced a copy of the order passed by the respondent dated 05.07.2018. Thus, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the order of this Court has been duly complied with by the respondent.

4.Since the order of this Court has been complied with, nothing survives in this contempt petition and accordingly, the same is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order passed by the respondent in the manner known to law, if he so desires.
