PRAYER :

Originally this petition has been filed as Original Application No. 3610 of 2003 before the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal at Chennai and after abolition of TNAT, petition has been transferred and numbered as W.P.No.12452 of 2007.

Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to include the name of the applicant in the panel of Assistant for the year 2003-2004 published in the proceedings bearing Roc.No.16999/2003/PA2 dated 27.06.2003 of the respondent herein in the appropriate place with all consequential benefits such as retrospective promotion, arrears of pay, etc., from the date on which his Juniors were promoted as Assistant.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed directing the respondent to include the name of the petitioner in the panel of Assistant for the year 2003-2004 published in the proceedings bearing Roc.No.16999/2003/PA2 dated 27.06.2003 of the respondent herein in the appropriate place with all consequential benefits such as retrospective promotion, arrears of pay, etc., from the date on which his Juniors were promoted as Assistant.

2. It is averred in the writ petition that the petitioner has filed the Original Application before the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal, Chennai. Subsequently, due to abolition https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the Tribunal, this matter was transferred to this Court and renumbered as W.P.No.12452 of 2007.

3. When the matter was taken up on 28.10.2020, there was no representation for the petitioner and the matter was listed for today under the caption 'for dismissal'. Today also, there is no representation for the petitioner and the representative counsel for the petitioner seeks time.

4. This Court is not inclined to grant any further adjournment, as the matter is pending from the year 2007. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
