Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned 279th Ordinary Meeting of the Syndicate Meeting dated 13.04.2015 from the files of the 1st respondent and quash resolutions passed in respect of Item No2. 89 and 96 and consequently direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to resort to fresh selection for the post of Asst. Professors for XI Plan of UGC, 35 posts and for the post of Sergeant Gr. I by strictly following the reservation rules and pass such other order or orders.

The challenge in this writ petition is to the selection process for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor/Sergeant, on the ground that the process was conducted without following the due procedure for reservation.
2. This writ petition has been filed by a registered association representing SC, ST, BC, and minority members. This association is not an aggrieved person and thus lacks locus standi to challenge the recruitment process and, only an aggrieved individual can maintain such a petition. Moreover, the recruitment process pertains to the year 2015, all posts have been filled, and the petitioner is not an aggrieved person.
3. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs. 17.12.2025 Index : Yes Internet : Yes ak
