Originally this petition has been filed as Original Application No.1704 of 2003 before the TamilNadu Administrative Tribunal at Chennai and after abolition of TNAT, petition has been transferred and numbered as W.P.No.12476 of 2007. Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the order of the first respondent dated 10.05.2002 issued in the reference number 'NIL' and quash the same as far as the applicant is concerned and further direct the respondent to place the applicant below the full members as on 12.8.98 in the cadre of Secondary Grade Assistant in Illayangudi Panchayat Union and further direct the respondents to include the name of the applicant in the panel for promotion to the post of Primary School Headmaster issued in the proceedings of the second respondent dated 19.5.2002 issued in the reference number 'NIL' and to award the consequential benefits.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, there was no representation for the petitioner.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the petitioner has given withdrawal letter to the Regional Educational Officer that since he got already promoted and he is not interested to proceed with this Writ Petition. Based on which, the Regional Educational Officer has sent a proceedings in Na.Ka.No.492/A1/2020 dated 21.10.2020 to the Additional Government Pleader. In the said proceedings, it is stated that "since the petitioner already got promoted, he is not interested to proceed with this Writ Petition".
3.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
