[Order of the Court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN, J.,] Though this Court has appointed Mr.Venugopal, a retired District Judge as Election Officer along with 6th respondent Mr.S.D.Manivasagam to be assisted by one or two advocates as per the discretion of the Election Officers, Mr.Venugopal is not inclined to take up the appointment. Therefore, the matter has been listed today under the caption "for being mentioned". 2.This Court by order dated 11.03.2021, requested the parties to suggest atleast five names of the Senior Members of Salem Bar Association, to enable this Court to appoint two more Election Officers along with the 6th respondent/Mr.S.D.Manivasagam.

3.When the matter is called today, as per the request made by this Court Mr.T.M.Hariharan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of R7 to R9 suggested the following names:

(1).Mr.V.Ponmudi, (2).Mr.Paramasivam, (3).Mr.P.N.Mani & (4).Mr.K.N.P.Ragunathan; Mr.R.Ramanlaal, learned 1/4

counsel appearing on behalf of R5 suggested the following names: (1).Mr.M.Jeganathan, (2).Mr.Vandhe Matharam & (3).Mr.T.Rajkumar and Mr.S.Ravi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner suggested the following names:

(1).Mr.T.Chandrasekar, (2).Mr.Jeganathan (Enrol.No.Ms.129/1997) and (3).Mr.R.Jeganathan, for the appointment of Election Officers.

4.Among the names suggested by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of various parties, this Court intends to choose one name from the list suggested by each counsel and accordingly, (1).Mr.V.Ponmudi, (2).Mr.M.Jeganathan, and (3).Mr.T.Chandrasekar, who are all senior members of the Salem Bar Association are appointed as members of the Election Committee. The 6th respondent/Mr.S.D.Manivasagam, is appointed as Chairman of the Election Committee.

5.The learned counsels appearing on behalf of various parties have got no objection with regard to the appointment of above three Election Officers. Therefore, the 6th respondent/Mr.S.D.Manivasagam, along with other three Election Officers shall form an Election Committee and the Election Committee shall conduct the election as per the original schedule given by this Court in the 2/4

earlier order dated 20.01.2021, which is usefully extracted as follows: "(ix) The election shall be conducted and concluded on or before 26th April 2021.

(x) The election officers shall file compliance report on 29.04.2021."
