Petitions under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the order dated 20.03.2024 in W.M.P. Nos. 10897, 10888 & 10893 of 2022 in W.P. Nos. 11361, 11352 & 11356 of 2022 respectively.

O R D E R

Read this in continuation of and in conjunction with the order dated 21.02.2025, which reads as follows:

' The parties have been heard.

2. The respondents would submit that an appeal has been filed challenging order dated 20.03.2024 and the matter is at the stage of condone delay in re-presentation.

3. That apart, the petitioner has also filed WP.No.10181 of 2024 assailing other acts of the respondents which, according to the petitioner, was taken merely to thwart the directions of this Court under order dated 20.3.2024. Mr.S.Raveekumar, learned Government Pleader (Pondicherry) objects to this statement.

4. List on 21.03.2025 as a final opportunity to enable the respondents to comply with direction under order dated 20.03.2024 as against which contempt has been filed.'

Today, Mr.P. Dineshkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner 2\3

and Mr.S. Raveekumar, learned Government Pleader appearing for the Union Territory of Pondicherry would confirm that with regard to two contempt petitions, i.e., contempt petition Nos. 338 & 339 of 2025, the entirety of the amount payable to the petitioner has been deposited to the credit of the writ petitions concerned which are still pending on the file of this Court.

As regards contempt petition No. 340 of 2025, learned Government Pleader would confirm that only part deposit has been made owing to certain differences in the computation of the amount to be DR. ANITA SUMANTH,J.

nv deposited. He would further submit that the difference has been sorted out and a Demand Draft for the balance will be handed over to the Registrar General by the end of business on Monday, i.e., on 24.03.2025. 4.

This is recorded and all the contempt petitions are closed. Connected sub applications are also closed.
