When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he was terminated from service on 01.11.2008 and preferred a statutory revision under Section 153 of Tamil Nadu Cooperative Societies Act, 1983 before the first respondent on 02.05.2012.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent has filed a counter affidavit dated 23.06.2023, before this Court and submitted that the petitioner states that he was terminated from service on 01.11.2008 and preferred a statutory revision under Section 153 of Tamil Nadu Cooperative Societies Act 1983 before the first respondent on 02.05.2012. It is pertinent to note that after a lapse of 90 days from the issue of Order, no revision petition may be entertained by this forum. Hence, the Page No.2 of 5

revision petition was rejected and the letter sent to the petitioner informing his revision petition could not be entertained due to time delay (vide Joint Registrar Rc.No.4289/2012 dated 21.11.2012). Hence, he prayed this Court to dismiss this writ petition as infructuous.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
