Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for an issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.09.2025 under section 34A of the Hindu Religious and Endowments Act, 1959 for fixation of fair rent in respect of temple shops located in the temple land comprised in S. Nos. 575/1, 575/2 and 576/1, Arisipalayam Village, Coimbatore District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.09.2025 under Section 34-A of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959, for fixation of fair rent in respect of the temple shops located in the temple land comprised in Survey Nos.575/1, 575/2 and 576/1, Arisipalayam Village, Coimbatore District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Upon hearing the learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and perusing the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it can be seen that the aforementioned lands and the shops built thereon belong to
Arulmigu Balavinayagar Thirukovil, and that the petitioner, being the hereditary trustee, has made the representation for fixation of fair rent to the existing tenants in respect of the shops as well as the land. It is also stated that the land has now become valuable, is situated along the roadside, and that the entire area in and around the property is developing rapidly.
3. In view thereof, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage with following directions:
(i) The petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2025 shall be taken up for consideration by the second respondent, and orders shall be passed thereon in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, and, in any event, not later than six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a web copy of this order without waiting for the certified copy of the order.
(ii) There shall be no order as to costs.
