O R D E R
Alleging non-compliance of the order dated 13.02.2020 passed in W.A. No. 4202 of 2019, the contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner.
When the matter is taken up, Mr.R. Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondents produced a copy of the proceedings in G.O.(2D) No. 23 Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection (CE1) Department dated 25.04.2022 wherein at paragraph No.9, it is stated as follows:
"9.
The Government, after careful examination, has decided to accept the proposal of Registrar of Co-operative Societies and to include the name of Thiru. A.G. Chandrasekar, Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies in the approved panel of Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies in the panel of Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies fit for promotion as Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies for the year 199601997 at the appropriate place as approved in G.O.(Ms) No. 129, Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection (CE1) Department dated 08.05.1997 by fixing his seniority as 2\4
Sl.No.7A above the name of his immediate junior Thiru A. Ramalingam (Sl.No.8) and re-fix his pay in the post of Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies from the earlier date from 01.061997 and also to include his name in the approved panel of Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies fit for promotiion as Additional Registrar of Co-operative Societies for the year 2010-2011 as approved in G.O.(2D) No. 96, Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection (CE1) Department, dated 30.12.2011 above the name of his immediate junior Thiru A.Ramalingam (Sl.No.4) by assigning Sl.No.3A and issued orders accordingly. Further, Government also direct that his pay be fixed notionally on par with his junior under ruling 17 of Rule 27 of the Fundamental Rules."

Though time limit has not been fixed, learned Additional Advocate General would submit that a decision will be taken within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.
In the light of the proceedings G.O.(2D) No. 23 Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection (CE1) Department dated 25.04.2022 and the 3\4
aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General, recording the same, the contempt petition is closed.
