..Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned order of the 2nd Respondent in Na.Ka.1561/A2/2003 dated 14.06.2003 and quash the same and direct the 2nd Respondent to promote the Petitioner as Headmaster with effect from the date of the impugned order on the basis of the common seniority list of Secondary Grade Teachers of Gudalur Panchayat Union as on 01.01.2003 and grant him all consequential benefits.

Originally the petitioner herein has filed an Original Application in O.A. No 2629 of 2003 before the State Administrative Tribunal. Due to abolition of State Administrative Tribunal, this Original Application was transferred to this Court and converted as Writ Petition and renumbered as W.P. No 13650 of 2007.

Today when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Government Pleader produced a letter of District Education Officer, Gudalur, the Nilgiris in Na.Ka.No.1360/A2/2020, dated 13.10.2020 addressed to the Principle Education Officer, Uthagamandalam, The Nilgiris, wherein it has been stated that as per the panel, the petitioner was promoted as Headmaster on 01.01.2004 and retired from service on superannuation on 30.11.2011and he has also worked on reemployment basis till 31.05.2012 after his superannuation.

3. In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in the writ petition. Hence, recording the letter in Na.Ka.No.1360/A2/2020 dated 13.10.2020 submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
