O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to transfer the case in Crime No.218 of 2022 on the file of 3rd respondent to some other investigation agency.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner's daughter Tamil Selvi was given in marriage to the 2nd accused/Selvamani on 28.10.2022. After the marriage, the 2nd accused has started to harass the petitioner's daughter claiming Rs.1,00,000/- and 3 soverigns of gold jewels. On 30.12.2022, at about 11.15 p.m., 2nd accused/Selvamani informed the petitioner that her daughter was not well and asked her to come immediately. Immediately on visiting the accused's house, the petitioner found that her daughter was dead and kept lying in the house. She suspects that the accused caused the death of her daughter. On the basis of her complaint First Information Report in Crime No.218 of 2022 for the offence under

Section 174(3) of Cr.P.C. was registered. The respondent police has not arrested A1, A3 and A4 so far. The investigation is not being conducted properly, therefore this petition.

3. In response, learned Government Advocate (crl.side) submitted that First Information Report was registered on 31.12.2022, on the same day offences was altered into Section 306 of IPC. A2 was arrested in this case and the other accused are absconding. The respondent police is yet to receive post-mortem report and report from the RDO. The investigation is being conducted on the proper lines.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Court finds that investigation is proceeding on the right line and the petitioner has not made out any valid point to transfer investigation to some other police.
