O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondent to dispose of the appeal No.A2/4298/2013, based on the verdicts in I.A.No.745/1976 in O.S.No.810/1974 dated 26.04.1977 within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner submitted an appeal to the respondent with reference to the revenue records. The appeal is kept pending for several years without disposal and therefore, the petitioner is constrained to move the writ petition.

3. The Sub Divisional Magistrate and the Sub Collector, Tiruppur in his written instructions given to the Government Pleader vide letter dated 20.07.2023 states that the respondent has to conduct enquiry with the petitioner and also with the connected parties in Appeal No.A2/4298/2013 filed by the petitioner in the Revenue Divisional Office, Thiruppur. After completing the enquiry, the Sub Collector will pass necessary orders immediately, before 15.09.2023.

4. In view of the undertaking given by the Sub Collector that he will conduct enquiry by affording opportunity to all the parties and dispose of the

appeal on or before 15.09.2023, No further consideration is required. Accordingly, the respondent is directed to pass final orders before 15.09.2023, as per his undertaking and communicate the said order to the petitioner.
