Respondents Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to directing respondent police to restrain from harassing the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

O R D E R

It is stated by the petitioner that she married one Muthukumar on 23.06.2016 and right from the date of marriage, the said Muthukumar ill treated her and she could not able to tolerate the same. Hence, she left the matrimonial home and at present living in a Ladies Hostel at Chengalpattu. While so, the said Muthukumar gave a complaint against her before the respondent police and the second respondent is harassing the petitioner under the guise of enquiry, relating to the said complaint.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that there is no such alleged harassment by the respondent police. He further submitted that the petitioner has eloped with somebody and it is not an issue of harassment by the respondent police. 3.To give quietus to the matter, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent on 03.05.2017 for enquiry. On such appearance, necessary enquiry be conducted by the second respondent on that day and further proceedings shall go on.

4.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
