Respondent Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the order of rejection passed in Letter No.A.E/Distribution/Town/Pal/Ko.Pugar/A.No./ 18 dated 02.08.2018 on the file of the respondent, quash the same and direct the respondent to receive the application from the 1st petitioner and effect new electricity service connection (commercial tariff) to the premises viz., Chicken Retail Shop situated at S.F.No.263/1A2, Kosavampalayam Road, Palladam. ORDER

This writ petition is directed against the impugned order dated 2.8.2018, refusing to accede to the request of the petitioners for providing electricity service connection to the land in question, on the ground that the petitioners have failed to produce any ownership document, title deed in their favour.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners also submits that by virtue of the oral partition that took place in the year 2008, the petitioners have become the owner of the property.

3. Except this oral partition, there is no other document to prove the title or possession of the petitioners. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.1997 & 2001 of 2019 are also dismissed. No costs. Sd/- Deputyt Registrar //True copy// Sub Assistant Registrar ss To
