The petitioner has come to this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to allot GPF Account Number for grant of pension to him under the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules 1978 (Old Pension Scheme) by counting 50% of the services rendered by the petitioner prior to his date of regularisation on 26.10.2006 in the post of Grade III Librarian. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. The petitioner has given a representation on 10.4.2017 to the respondents requesting to allot GPF Account Number for grant of pension to him under the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules 1978 (Old Pension Scheme) by counting 50% of the services rendered by the petitioner prior to his date of regularisation on 26.10.2006 in the post of Grade III Librarian. Since the said representation has not been considered, he has come to this Court.
3. Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. This Court, considering the limited prayer and without going to the merits of the matter, hereby directs the respondents to consider the pending representation of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
