Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent herein, the Inspector of Police, T.16, Maduravoyal Police Station, Chennai 95, to register a First Information Report (FIR) against the respondents 3 to 5 forthwith and to direct the respondents 3 to 5 to handover the original documents in respect of the House property of the petitioner herein situated at No.132, Perumal Koil Street, Alapakkam, Chennai 116.

The prayer sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to the second respondent to register the First Information Report based on the petitioner's complaint. 2.When the writ petition is taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first and the second respondents submitted that the petitioner's complaint, which was received by the then Inspector of Police on 20.06.2016 was closed, on the ground that the allegations made by the petitioner were false.

3.In view of the same, the prayer sought for in the present writ petition has become infructuous. Hence, the petition shall stand dismissed.

No costs.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
