PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records from the file of the first respondent herein in I.D.No.231 of 2009 and quash the Award dated 29.08.2011 passed by the first respondent, which was received in the month of March, 2012.

ORDER

With the consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The dispute revolving around the Award in I.D.No.231 of 2009 dated 29.08.2011 passed by the Labour Court, Coimbatore, has been settled amicably between the parties, through a settlement under Section 18(1) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 dated 30.04.2014. A copy of the settlement is produced before this Court. As per the terms of the settlement, the second respondent has been paid a sum of Rs.1,31,827/- and a copy of the receipt dated 04.11.2014 has also been produced before this Court.

3. Recording the terms of the settlement and in view of the amicable settlement arrived between the parties, no effective orders can be passed in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
