Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to assess, determine and pay the compensation in compliance with undertaking given in the proceedings dated 13.05.2020 and 04.08.2020 made by of 3rd respondent in Na. Ka. No. 20 / 2020 / A1.

O R D E R

Mr.S.J.Mohamed Sathick, Government Advocate appearing for the respondents produced proof to establish that the beneficiary Smt.Sarasu had received initially sum of Rs.10,000/-, as calculated by the Horticulture Department authorities and balance amount of Rs.14,826/- was paid to the said Smt.Sarasu by transferring the amount to her account (RTGS).

2. In view of the fact that the quantum of compensation for loss of Drumstick and Turmeric Plants were assessed by the authorities of the Horticulture Department and the compensation determined by the

Horticulture Department that is sum of Rs.24,826/- had been paid to the beneficiary Smt.Sarasu, who is the daughter of the writ petitioner Vaiyapuri, no further consideration is required. Therefore, the grievances of the petitioner have been redressed and the petitioner is not entitled for further compensation, since the quantum of compensation has been assessed by the competent authorities of the Horticulture Department.

3. Thus, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 08.02.2024 Jeni Index : Yes Speaking order
