..Respondents Prayer:- The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Declaration, declaring that Rule 5 (7) of the Tamil Nadu Kerosene (Regulation of Trade) Order, 1973, is illegal insofar as the petitioner is concerned and quash the order of the 1st respondent made in Na.Ka.No.O4/49657/04, dated 28.03.2005 and that of the 2nd respondent made in Na.Ka.No.K2/70996/04, dated 01.01.2005, and consequently issue a mandamus directing the respondents to renew registration certificate No.56/VLR in the name of the petitioner by continuing the supply of kerosene as hitherto done. ORDER
When the matter came up for hearing on 15.07.2019, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the Writ Petition is posed today under the caption "for dismissal". Today, the learned counsel for the petitioner reports no instruction.
2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent would state that the petitioner was a licensed kerosene dealer. Since the application to renew the licence was filed after expiry of time, the same was rejected. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
