Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to reimburse the Medical Fund amount of Rs.1,75,589/- together with interest to the petitioner, within a time frame.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner, to direct the first respondent herein to reimburse the Medical Fund amount of Rs.175589/- together with interest to the petitioner, within a time frame.
2.It appears that the petitioner has come before this Court for a direction to be issued to the first respondent to reimburse the Medical fund amount of Rs.1,75,589/- for the surgery underwent on 17.09.2006. Though the petitioner has subsequently attained superannuation on 28.2.2009 (under suspension), however that amount was not paid to the petitioner, hence the petitioner field this petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.While entertaining the writ petition, this Court by its order dated 19.08.2013, granted interim order in favour of the petitioner. In compliance of the said order, the respondents have paid the medical reimbursement amount and the balance claim of the petitioner relates only to interest for the said period.
4.It transpires that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner has been paid the medical reimbursement amount without any interest. Further, it is evident from the record that the said amount has been paid in the year 2013 itself. In such view of the matter, this Court if of the considered view that payment of interest is not warranted. Since the amount has already been paid, nothing further survives for adjudication in the present petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
