ORDER
This writ petition has been filed challenging the correctness of the impugned order making it clear that the petitioner's claim that his land, as covered in S.No.1/1A, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
falling in Red Hills Eri, has not been sought to be acquired by the respondents. The impugned order further says that even the copy of the layout produced by the petitioner shows that the layout relates to S.No.1/1A of Red Hills village and not Soorpattu village. When the National Highways Authority of India required certain lands for construction of Chennai bye-pass (Phase-II), after verification of the land plan schedules of Soorpattu village furnished by the National Highways Authority of India, it has been found that they have not acquired the land in S.No.1/1A. Therefore, when the second respondent, in the impugned order, has specifically mentioned that no acquisition proceedings have been initiated in respect of the property owned by the petitioner, nothing survives in the matter. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently, M.P.No.1 of 2007 is also dismissed. No costs.
