ORDER
The Impugned Letter No. 441m / Ko. Agri /2025 / Vapi / E. Va.A-2 dated 29.10.2025 issued by the fourth respondent, is put under challenge in the present Writ Petition. Consequently, the petitioner has sought for a direction to the respondents to restore the existing tank bund of Emappur Tank situated at Emappur Village, Tiruvennainallur Taluk, Villupuram District in pursuant to and in true letter and spirit of the G.o (Ms)No 39 dated 24.07.2025 issued by the first respondent and not to construct a new tank bund in its western side, causing alternation of its original nature and extent, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.10.2025.
2. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the present Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the President of the Emappur Tank Water Users' Association and for the benefit of the farmers, the State Government has issued G.O.(Ms) No.39 dated 24.07.2025 for the permanent restoration of the existing Emappur Tank Bund, Thiruvennainallur Taluk, Villupuram District which was damaged due to Fengal Cyclone in the year 2024 by sanctioning a sum of Rs.35 lakhs. He further submitted that the respondents contrary to the said G.O., have planned to form a new bund on the western side of the tank and hence, the present Writ Petition and also prayed this Court to issue a direction to the respondents to implement the said G.O. in letter and spirit for the permanent restoration of the Emappur Tank bund.

Per contra, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the respondents will strictly implement the order passed in G.O.(Ms) No.39 dated 24.07.2025 for permanent restoration of the Emappur Tank bund by utilizing the sanctioned amount of Rs.35 lakhs.

Recording the submissions of the learned Special Government Pleader, the respondents are directed to implement the G.O.(Ms) No.39 dated 24.07.2025 for restoration of Emappur Tank bund which was damaged due to Fengal Cyclone, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
