This Court, by order, dated 27.11.2019 in Crl.O.P.No.7276 of 2013 had directed the respondents to conduct an enquiry under Section 151 Police Stating Order against Venkatesh Kumar, Inspector of Police, Korattur Police Station and file action taken report before this Court. This enquiry is necessitated, since against the petitioner herein a case in Crime No.156 of 2013 came to be registered on 19.01.2013. In the guise of investigation, the petitioner and his sons were beaten by lathis and stripped off and also tortured in the hands of the said Venkatesh Kumar, Inspector of Police, Korattur Police Station.

2.In obedience to the order of this Court, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ambattur District, Chennai had filed a status report stating that the Commissioner of Police, Chennai directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ambattur to take immediate action in this matter. Hence, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ambattur District, Chennai requested PA to the Collector, Chennai to conduct enquiry. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Central Chennai Division in Na.Ka.No.131/2020/A1, dated 17.02.2020 had submitted a report finding no police excess against the said Venkatesh http://www.judis.nic.in

Crl.O.P.No.7276 of 2013 M.NIRMAL KUMAR.J., vv2 Kumar, Inspector of Police, Korattur Police Station and the complaint is a motivated one.
