O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a charge sheet in the Crime No.489 of 2014 dated 01.07.2014 on the file of the respondent.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that based on his complaint, a case in Crime No.480 of 2014 came to be registered for the offence under Sections 465, 468, 471 & 506 (i) IPC against the accused namely one Sundarammal, Singaram, Lakshmi and Amarendran. Thereafter, the respondent Police have not taken https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

any effective steps. He further stated that the petitioner on his own had approached the concerned Registration Authority and submitted a petition stating that the accused had created fabricated documents and created encumbrance over his property, thereafter, the Registration Authority cancelled the same. These factors were informed to the respondent Police. Despite the same, the respondent Police has not taken any effective steps and the final report has also not yet been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the respondent Police will take effective steps to complete the investigation and file final report as expeditiously as possible.

4. Finding that the case is of the year 2014 and it is pending for more than 7 years, the respondent Police at any event, shall complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
