Mr.K.Venkatesh, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondent to grant refund to the petitioner pursuant to Form-W filed by the petitioner for the year 2013-14 along with interest as contemplated under Section 42(5) of the Tamil Nadu VAT Act, 2016.

3. It is seen that the petitioner through applications dated 09.05.2013, 27.09.2013, 21.10.2013 sought for refund by filing Form-W in respect of the assessment year 2013-14. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that those applications are not considered by the respondent so far.

4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner with regard to the refund, as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of only with a direction to the respondent to consider those applications dated 09.05.2013, 27.09.2013, 21.10.2013, and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
