PRAYER:

Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to provide parking space for the lorries and other heavy vehicles that are being commuted to the market and to implement the resolution dated 30.01.2012 and consequently forbear the respondent from implementing the Solid Waste Management Project in the Kancheepuram Rajaji Market area. ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus to provide parking space for the lorries and other heavy vehicles that are being commuted to the market and to implement the resolution dated 30.01.2012 and consequently forbear the respondent from implementing the Solid Waste Management Project in the Kancheepuram Rajaji Market area.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the petitioner has given so many representations and the respondent is ready to take action as per law.

5. In the light of the above submissions and the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representations of the petitioner dated 27.03.2013, 31.08.2013, 10.10.2013 and 24.02.2014, within a period of tweleve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing an opportunity to the necessary parties.

6. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
