ORDER

Apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.261 of 2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 7(3) Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998, Section 112, 336, 318 BNS, the present petition has been filed seeking anticipatory bail.

2. Pleading innocence on the part of the petitioner, false implication in the case, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this Court. He would submit that the petitioner is no way connected with the offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court.

3. The case of the prosecution as putforth by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police, opposing for grant of anticipatory bail, is that the petitioner, along with other accused, was found illegally selling other State lotteries by using a laptop and mobile phone. He would submit that the petitioner has eight previous cases pending against him.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner and also taking note of the fact that the petitioner has eight previous cases pending against him, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminl Original Petition stands dismissed.
