PRAYER :

Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to sanction the pensionary benefits to the petitioner by taking into consideration the services rendered by him as village headman prior to the abolition of the post, namely 14.11.80 and sanction the pension and grant all retirement benefits within a reasonable time and grant him such other further relief as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the circumstances of the case.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed directing the respondents to sanction the pensionary benefits to the petitioner by taking into consideration the services rendered by him as village headman prior to the abolition of the post, viz., 14.11.80 and sanction the pension and grant all retirement benefits within a reasonable time.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that during the pendency of the writ petition, the request of the petitioner was considered and the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pension was paid to him and nothing survives in this writ petition to be adjudicated upon further. The petitioner has also given a letter to the P.A. to the District Collector to inform him about the consideration of his pension request. The copy of the same has also been produced before this Court.

3. Considering the facts that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner's request was considered and he started getting pension and further, he has also a given letter to the District Collector, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication.
