ORDER
There is no appearance on behalf of the petitioner. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Bank. The petitioner has stated that he is studying in the second year of B.E. (Electronics and Electrical Engineering) Course, in PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. He had made an application, for the grant of an educational loan, to the respondent Bank, for a sum of Rs.1,70,000/-, for the completion of the course. However, the respondent Bank had sanctioned only a sum of Rs.70,000/-. Hence, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition before this Court, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Bank had submitted that a sum of Rs.70,000/- had been sanctioned, in favour of the petitioner, as per the norms recommended by the Hon'ble Mr.Justice Balasubramaniam Committee, relating to the fixation of the fee structure for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Professional courses, in Tamil Nadu. Therefore, there is no merit in the present writ petition.
In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Bank, it is clear that a sum of Rs.70,000/- had been sanctioned, in favour of the petitioner, as an educational loan, as per the norms fixed by the Hon'ble Mr.Justice Balasubramaniam Committee, relating to the fixation of the fee structure for the Professional Courses, in Tamil Nadu. As such, the writ petition is devoid of merits. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed.
