Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to disburse the leave encashment benefits to the petitioner which he is entitled for 1/4

the period of 02/2019 with interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the said date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to disburse the leave encashment benefit to the petitioner which he is entitled for the period of 02/2019 with interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the said date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement 2.

Heard, the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.

The petitioner was working as Senior Tradesman in the Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation(Villupuram) Ltd., Vellore Region and retired from service on 31.05.2022. However, he was not 2/4

provided with leave encashment benefits of Rs.26,302/- for the period of 02/2019. In fact, the petitioner also obtained information under Right to Information Act. On receipt of the said information, the petitioner submitted detailed representation. However, the petitioner has not received any reply so far.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, the respondents are directed to pay the above pending amount to the petitioner with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
