ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1, 2, 4 and 6 to produce the complete records, files, notings Na.Ka.proceedings, inspection reports and action-taken details relating to the petitioner's housing application bearing No.AHPTVL24101217183121 and her representation dated 30.08.2025 and consequently to grant approval of the flat /allotment in favour of the petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner is a deserted woman and a single parent of a 5-year-old child, belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). She applied for a housing allotment with the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board. She submitted all the required documents, including a duly notarized affidavit, and attended the enquiry as directed. Her application was thereafter forwarded for physical verification, which was eventually completed after repeated follow-ups. Despite the successful completion of physical verification, no further steps were taken for allotment. The petitioner sent representations dated 06.05.2025 and 30.08.2025 requesting early verification and completion of allotment. She was later informed that her application had been transferred to the Head
Office at Chennai for further processing. Thereafter, no further action has been taken by the respondent authorities. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court.
3. Heard the learned counsels on both sides and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
