This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the Crime No.5 of 2016 on the file of the 1st respondent police and to quash the same as far as the petitioners are concerned.

2. Heard both sides.

3.Based on the complaint given by the defacto-complainant, the first respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.5 of 2016, before the All Women Police Station, Coimbatore, for the alleged offence under Sections 498(A), 420 and 109 of I.P.C against her husband, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law.

4. Both the learned counsel represented that subsequently parties have filed H.M.O.P.No.1693 of 2017, before the District Family Court, Coimbatore, for dissolution of marriage and by mutual consent they seek permission to compound the offence. Further, the defactocomplainant viz., Nidhya has filed affidavit to that effect and the same has been attested by Ramesh Babu.

5.The compromise between the parties has been taken note of.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and Crime No.5 of 2016 on the file of the 1st respondent police is also stand quashed.
