A.No.900 of 2021 in C.S.No.194 of 2020 A.No.900 of 2021 in C.S.No.194 of 2020 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN J, This application has been filed by the second defendant in the suit seeking to condone the delay of 60 days in filing the written statement of the second defendant.

2. In the affidavit filed in support of the said application, it had been stated that the delay is owing to the fact that few staff of the Bank were affected with Covid - 19 and work was severely affected for three weeks. Thereafter, instructions had to be obtained from the Senior Manager and then the said instructions had to be forwarded to the counsel for preparing the written statement. In this process there was a delay of 60 days in filing the written statement. It is seen that the written statement has been filed along with 18 documents.

4. It is very appreciable that the learned counsel, taking into consideration the reasons advanced, particularly that it was due to the Covid - 19 situation has not raised serious objection.
