This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide police protection for the petitioner's family and also the property situate at Sekkadu Village, Sorancherry Mathura, Kundrathur Sub Registration District, South Chennai Registration District comprised in Survey No.170/10 to an extent of 5232 sq.ft based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 19.03.2015.

2. It is seen from the representation dated 19.03.2015, the petitioner seeks police protection to his life and property. Now, almost four years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

3. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
