COMMON PRAYER: Criminal Original Petitions filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to call for all the records in Crime No.84 of 2014, on the file of 1st respondent and quash the same.

In both Crl.O.Ps For Petitioners : Ms.Annapoorani for M/s.Thriyambak J.Kannan For 1st Respondent : Mr.R.Murthi Government Advocate (Crl.Side) C O M M O N O R D E R These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed to call for all the records in Crime No.84 of 2014, on the file of 1st respondent and quash the same.

2.When the matters are taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners and the second respondent had amicably settled the issues and in fact the second respondent had filed an affidavit that all the claims made in the complaint dated 24.01.2014 had been fully and finally settled. He consented for quashing and closure of the FIR in Crime No.84 of 2014 dated 02.05.2014.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that FIR was registered on 02.05.2014, in Crime No.84 of 2014, for the offences under Sections 406, 420, r/w 34, 294 (b), 506(i) IPC. He also submitted that the defacto complainant had given a letter to the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch, EDF - III, Chennai, stating not to take any further action against the accused, since he had solved and settled the issues with the accused amicably and he would like to withdraw the case.

4.Considering the settlement of disputes between the parties amicably and the fact that the second respondent has no objection to quash the criminal proceedings against the petitioners, this Court is inclined to allow both criminal original petitions and quash the FIR in Crime No.84 of 2014. Accordingly, these criminal original petitions are allowed and the affidavit and letter of the second respondent shall form part of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
