Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of Writ of Certiorari to call for the records of the first respondent viz., Revenue Divisional Officer and Land Acquisition Officer, South Chennai Revenue Division, Guindy, Chennai - 600 032 in
respect of impugned Form A ( Rule 3) a show notice dated 01.11.2018 issued under Section (2) of the Section 3 of the Tamilnadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1977 (Tamilnadu Act, 10 of 1999) for the Land specified and situated in Mylapore Part- I Village, Mylapore Taluk, Chennai District for Corridor - 4 -5 Alwarpet, Metro Station more fully described in the impugned show cause notice as Block No.34, Survey No.1654/28 description shows as Ryotwori/Quit Rent measuring an extent of 219 sq.mts belonging to the petitioners herein and quash the same. This petitioner has filed this Writ Petition challenging the show cause notice dated 01.11.2018 issued by the first respondent.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader submits that even though acquisition proceedings were issued, however, they will not acquire the subject lands as the same is not required.
3. Recording the submission made by the learned learned Additional Government Pleader, no further orders are required in these petitions. Accordingly these writ petitions stands closed. No order as to costs.
Consequently the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioners to file fresh petition if the acquisition process is carried at any later date.
