ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.,] The above petition has been filed by the petitioner/wife of the detenu, to cause production of her husband, Vijayakumar, aged about 41 years, who is said to be missing from 28.04.2015, before this Court and to set him at liberty.
It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Vijayakumar, went missing, in connection with which, a case in Cr.No.1516/2015 for "Man Missing" has been registered by the 2nd respondent police on 29.04.2015 and is under investigation. Today, the respondent police has filed the Status Report detailing the steps that have been taken by the police for securing the alleged detenu.

As evidenced from the Status Report, the petitioner's husband/detenu herein had borrowed heavily from various persons and in order to avoid the creditors, he has gone missing. Under such circumstances, it cannot be stated that the petitioner's husband in under illegal detention of anyone. Hence, the Habeas Corpus petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to proceed with the investigation in Cr.No.1516/2015 and keep the petitioner informed of any developments.
